About a week ago I had this brilliant idea to do a theme week on the blog. I emailed all the girls and told them to choose a day to take their camera around with them, and then choose seven pictures to kind of "describe their day." I had grand aspirations of taking seven pictures of my cube in the library, but shortly thereafter Dan and I made the decision that we just could not stay in our tiny apartment and try to prepare for the bar. Thus we packed up our things....and our dogs...and headed to Idaho Falls for the Fourth of July and more importantly...a backyard.
Obviously the Fourth of July is not a typical day for me, but it was the definitely the funnest day I have had in awhile! So here are seven pictures from the Fourth of July...
We attempted to take a family picture...the results did not turn out so well and after many fruitless attempts we just settled for this one...
I forced Dan to go to my favorite sandwich shop in Idaho Falls called the Sandwich Tree. When we pulled up he gave me a very skeptical look because it is a DUMP- but true to my word it serves the best sandwiches in town!

It would not be the Fourth of July without a little BBQ!
My hometown of Idaho Falls has one of the biggest and best fireworks shows in the nation. We have always hailed it as "the best fireworks west of the Mississippi"- but truly it was ranked 17th in the country this year. I mean really, who would think that a little town like Idaho Falls could throw such a good party? Thousands of people flock to the river to watch the amazing show that never disappoints.
